Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Privacy Policy
- The purpose for which the Yorkton Chamber collects personal information, if not obvious, will be identified at or prior to collecting the information.
- Personal information will be collected for the following purposes:
- Administering Yorkton Chamber of Commerce membership and providing member services and benefits;
- Registering for Yorkton Chamber of Commerce events, for example, Chamber Business Lunches;
- Administering the purchase of various Yorkton Chamber of Commerce products or services, for example, newsletter inserts;
- Processing and administering the above
- The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce will not use personal information for any other purpose unless such other purpose is identified at or before the time of collection or unless the use is otherwise authorized by law.
- In order to protect the security of personal information, the Chamber’s security measures include, but are not limited to: locks on filing cabinets, computer system firewalls, password-protected files and virus protection software.
- Personal information is retained only as long as is necessary to provide the individual with the requested products, service or information and then is deleted or destroyed. In some cases, however, legal reporting and retention requirements necessitate that the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce retain information for a specific amount of time.
- The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce does not sell or trade any personal information with third parties.
- The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Privacy Officer is its Director of Marketing & Administration.
