I arrived in Regina on 22nd December 2014 from India. I came here as a Student to study Business at the Parkland College in Yorkton. I was all alone without friends and family to help, but Yorkton's East Central Newcomer Welcome Centre helped me find a place to live, familiarized me to the place and constantly supported me through the ups and downs. They really made this new place my home and family. That's why I have decided to help people around me and contribute to this community.

Since then, I have guided many aspirants who have come to this city to fulfill their dreams. I am there for them - to assist them to find a place to live or with the college rules and regulations and so on. My desire to be one among you and contribute to the people led to the decision to join the Yorkton's Community Choir under the direction of Laurene Jemieff. I have been with the Choir for a year and a half and thoroughly enjoy being a part of it and performing at the concerts. In 2016, at the Immigrants of Distinction Award ceremony, I was recognized and presented with The Volunteer Award sponsored by Tim Horton's for helping people in need.

I worked as a Product Specialist at Yorkton Hyundai under the best leadership of Mr. Ron Kaban. He treated me like family, taught many things and believed in my caliber and potential. With his guidance, I was able to enhance my skills and personality. Currently, I am the Human Resources Manager for Yorkton Tribal Council working under Tribal Chief O’Soup

In early 2017, I joined the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton where we work together to make a difference to our community. Now I am the Treasurer for the Club. Finally, having been elected as a Director of the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce, I have the opportunity to learn about the business fraternity and give back to the community.
