Chris Kosterosky

I am excited and honoured for the opportunity to serve as a Director with the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce. I was born and raised in Saskatoon, but I have been proudly calling Yorkton home since 2014. Many new retail stores, restaurants, grocery, and industry have been recently developed, or are currently under construction in Yorkton. The visible growth of business has coincided with the visible growth of population and diversity within Yorkton. It will be important to ensure that we are actively attracting and retaining both business and people.

I am committed to promoting and improving trade and commerce, agriculture and the economic, and civic and social well-being of Yorkton and district. I possess a B.A. (Hons) in International Relations from the University of Saskatchewan. I currently work at Parkland College as the Senior Admissions Officer/International Coordinator. I have experience and passion for business climate and development, international education, immigration, settlement & integration, and community economic development. My vision is to advocate for success for our current businesses and residents, and to continue growth and opportunity for our youth and future residents.

In my personal life, my first priority is my son Kendry and my daughter Klara. We love to skate, play hockey, and go to the playground. I also love to explore new countries, cultures, and adventures.

Have a great 2017!
